Leadpages Review 2026: What You Get, What It Costs and Who Should Skip It
Leadpages is a landing page builder with plans that, according to the plan cards on its own pricing page checked in November 2026, run from $15 to $100 a month, with A/B testing only on the two higher tiers. It suits people who want a general purpose page builder with room to grow into optimisation tools, and it may be more than you need if all you want is a branded page that collects leads. This review is based on published pricing and documentation and not on hands on testing, so it covers what the plans include and where the trade offs sit.
What Leadpages is
Leadpages builds landing pages, and its plans also include blogs, and it is aimed at small businesses, consultants, coaches and marketers. You pick a template or start from scratch, edit it in a visual builder, and publish it on a Leadpages address or your own domain. Its documentation also describes a WordPress plugin for serving pages on a WordPress site.
Plans and prices (checked November 2026)
The table below comes from the plan cards on the Leadpages pricing page. Annual billing is described there as saving 20 percent, and the annual prices shown are per month, billed once a year.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price (per month) | Pages | Custom domains | A/B testing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $15 | $12 | 25 | 1 | Not included |
| Business | $25 | $20 | 50 | 2 | Not included |
| Grow | $50 | $40 | Unlimited | 4 | Manual |
| Optimize | $100 | $80 | Unlimited | 6 | Manual plus multivariate (up to four variants) |
The page also states that traffic is unlimited on every plan and that Optimize adds tools such as heatmaps. It describes a 7 day trial that needs a credit card to start. Higher up, the page refers to an enterprise option with custom pricing.
Where sources disagree
The Leadpages pricing page is not consistent with itself. Its page title, header and FAQ quote higher prices than its plan cards: Pro at $29, Business at $49, Grow at $99 and Optimize at $199 a month. The FAQ also mentions a Scale plan at $399 that does not appear among the cards. The figures in our table are the ones on the plan cards. A separate comparison article from LanderLab, a competing builder, lists different names and prices, namely Standard at $49, Pro at $99 and Conversion at $697, and a 14 day trial. That article may reflect an older plan structure, and its author has an interest in the comparison. Because plans change, confirm the figures on Leadpages itself before you buy.
What you get at each level
At the lowest tier you get a decent number of pages and a custom domain, which covers many small businesses that need two or three lead pages. The main thing to notice is where A/B testing begins. On the plan cards it starts at $50 a month, so anyone who wants to test headlines or layouts has to pay for the third tier. Heatmaps and other optimisation tools sit at the top plan.
The WordPress plugin is another place to read the small print. Leadpages' support article says the plugin needs a paid plan and names Grow, Optimize or Scale, which suggests the two lower tiers may not include it. That is how we read the article, and it is worth checking with Leadpages if the plugin matters to you. Our post on the Leadpages alternative for WordPress sites covers the plugin in more detail.
Who Leadpages suits
Leadpages is a reasonable fit if you want one tool that can run several kinds of pages, you expect to scale up your testing, or you want to serve pages through WordPress. If you are an agency or in-house marketer running many campaigns, the higher tiers add the tools to compare variants and see how visitors behave.
Who should skip it
You may be better served elsewhere in a few situations.
- You want to test headlines but cannot justify $50 a month. A/B testing is not included in the two cheaper plans according to the plan cards.
- You only need a single lead magnet page. A general builder gives you more controls than you may use.
- You want to keep costs predictable and low while you test whether a lead magnet works at all.
- You need the WordPress plugin on the cheapest plan. Check whether your tier includes it.
How Gatedleads compares, honestly
Gatedleads is narrower. It is built around one job: a branded lead magnet page, live in under 10 minutes, with 500+ templates and 18 content blocks. Leads can be downloaded as a CSV file, and Pro passes them to other tools through Zapier webhooks.
| Gatedleads Free | Gatedleads Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $29 a month |
| Pages | 1 | Unlimited |
| Custom domain | No | Yes |
| A/B headline testing | No | Yes |
| Branding | Gatedleads branding shown | Removed |
| Team seats | Not stated | 3 |
On the plan card prices, Leadpages Pro costs less than Gatedleads Pro, but A/B testing on Leadpages starts at $50 a month on Grow, while Gatedleads Pro includes A/B headline testing at $29. The trade off is scope. Gatedleads is focused on lead magnet pages, so if you need several other kinds of marketing page, a broader tool may fit better. This comparison relies on published pages, not on using Leadpages ourselves. Our Leadpages alternatives comparison looks at other options too.
How to decide
Start from the job. If you need to build many varied pages and expect to run formal tests, price the Grow tier and weigh it against alternatives. If you want to see whether a lead magnet brings in contacts, pick the cheapest option that gives you a branded page, a custom domain and a way to move leads into your email tool. You can start a page on the Gatedleads free plan and move up only if the results justify it. Our guide to choosing a lead magnet tool sets out the main options.
